Project Engineer, Central Otago

You won’t be pigeon holed in this role and you won’t be stuck behind a desk. You will take ownership of projects from concept to completion, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will work alongside a highly qualified, talented, dynamic and passionate team, ensuring all project objectives are met.

Please note, this role is full-time, permanent and requires frequent travel to sites.

 The successful applicant will:

  • Build strong and open relationships internally and with clients, sub contractors & suppliers, ensuring future relationships.
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as nec
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues.
  • Ensure that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards.
  • Communicate project status to stakeholders, including senior management, clients and project team members.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project team members.
  • Ensure that all project documentation is complete and up-to-date.
  • Participate in project reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement.

 About you:

  • Holds a degree in either engineering or a related field.
  • Has 5+ years' experience in water and wastewater process/design engineering.
  • Be well versed in civl and mechanical construction and familiar with all site activities.
  • Understand the A-Z of project delivery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, along with experience with project management software and tools.
  • The ability to travel and work effectively on sites away from the office.
  • Passionate about delivering top notch service to clients while having fun along the way!
