Apex Water delivered the Cromwell water treatment upgrade across McNab Road and the Lake Dunstan waterfront, addressing drinking-water compliance requirements and increasing capacity for future demand. Works included a new treatment plant and bore, upgrades to three existing bores, a motor control centre building and connecting water mains. Treatment combines filtration, UV disinfection and chlorination.

As head contractor, Apex provided in-house process, mechanical and layout design, coordinated specialist designers, and managed construction and commissioning. Staged bore changeovers, temporary pipework and an interim containerised treatment plant maintained Cromwell’s drinking-water supply throughout construction.

The completed facility provides for additional bores, treatment equipment and reservoir connections to support future growth.
